Dynamic arc?

How could you have an arc in your block with grips that re-size the arc
length??..

No, that would change the radius. All I want to change is the arc length.

I am also curious about this and have been trying to figure out a way for months. I was trying to create a block that had the arc change and an arrow head and attribute move along with it. Any help would be appreciated!

TAKE A LOOK AT THE "DB help.. scale/move problem" thread.. that has
been done. (we faked in the arc effect).

Thanks for the reply. I looked at the finished blocks and they have some good features in them, but are not quite what I was hoping for. While I wanted the radius to scale up, I wanted the arc length to remain constant. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

Thanks,
David

I looked into this one a while back and didn't come up with a good solution. Problem is, to adjust the arc curve, you need the scale action, which will change the overall length of the arcs, there is no way around it.

My best advice to you would be to use the arc length dimension and text edit it and turn off the arc symbol.

Thanks for the reply.

That's what I was afraid of. The only idea I came up with is to have a wipeout in the block, but that presents all sorts of other problems with the rest of the linework.
