CREATING (SIMPLE) DYNAMIC BLOCKS

Hi,

I am trying to create simple dynamic blocks (for now just for windows and doors in plan).

What I want to do is create a simple (10 line) block for a door (jamb, door, swing, jamb) that I can insert and then, via grips, stretch to fit the opening.

Similar for windows.

I hate the dynamic (CTRL 3) blocks in ACad.  Soooooo ugly and non representative.

I am a hobby/student using ACad 12 STUDENT EDITION

Any help that is in the style of "Dynamic Blocks for Dummies"  would be soooooo welcome

ThanX

HarcX

Maybe work from these and create what you need?

That is more or less how we have all done so.

Did you try and deconstruct the OOTB Door Blocks and then create what you deem to be representative?

AutoCAD 12?  I didn't think it supported dynamic blocks.

i'm assuming charrhy meant 2012, not R12.  R12 certainly did not support dynamic blocks.
