WISH LIST ITEM.....

Hi,

If there's one thing that vv and vve does different, it would be to update
labels automatically
upon opening a dwg.

I can update my labels from acad2k but if others need the prints, they
should be the correct
versions, therefore, I need a viewing program that will update labels via
button or automatically, automatically preferred of course =)

Can anyone at Autodesk give me some feedback on the possibility of this
happening.....
Thanks,

P.A.V.

I don't understand what you mean by labels, so maybe my response isn't
addressing your issue, but Volo View treats the dwg file as read-only, so it
won't modify the dwg at all. You can turn layers on and off and zoom/pan
around, but this does not actually do anything to the dwg file on disk. And,
even in memory, you can't change the drawing's content - Volo View is a viewer
and markup tool not a dwg editor.

I see what you're saying.
To elaborate,
I use dbconnect and freestanding label templates to place data on my prints
from a database.
That way I can make changes quickly, but requires label reloading.
I guess Volo won't do that, any help on a viewer or something that will?

Thanks,

You're right, Volo definitely won't do that.

I'm sorry, but I have no idea if there are any viewers that would do what you
want.

Does ANYBODY know of a program to reload labels?
It doesn't even have to view!

Thanks,

Don Becker
