According to Help: WYSIWYG

Open the TV 2014 and look in the Help file. Not much going on.

TrueView does not have the capabilities to view the Proxy Objects therefore there are substituitions.

what a useful program that is.... a program that opens some of the content, but not all of it... genius.

That is part of the Freebie.

How do you include everything?

Charles,

I'm not sure what you are trying to say.  What I am trying to say is that using trueview is pointless if it won't view the content, it's actually counterproductive.

I don't understand why they don't provide the object enablers with the installation so that you can view the civil 3d objects or any other aecc object.

I have attempted to use the proxiygraphics 1 and the solution is a bad one, a known bad solution because they rarely load correctly... case in point.  Besides, if i have purchased civil 3D, i should be able to view the drawing in trueview with object enablers.... i paid for a MORE EXPENSIVE program.

I am attempting to use trueview to expedite the plotting process because as most of us know, plotting civil 3d drawings is time consuming unlike plotting simple 2d autocad drawings and it's been this way since land desktop... unresolved.

the kernel should prefer aecc objects... but in reality it prefers exploded static objects in 2d... how backwards is that?

anyways, why not offer the object enablers if you're on subscription for trueview?

DTV is free: there is no 'subscription" for it. Anyone can get and use it.
Object Enablers are free too, anyone can get them if available from the DTV webpage. If you don't find the one you need, it's just not available and only Autodesk knows why. The rest of us end users, just like you, cannot answer why.

I've taken this to subscription and working directly with the software developer.

I'd be very surprised if they do more than the suggestions here. Good luck.

Hi John,
Thank you for your patience.

After your update yesterday, I went and talked to the AutoCAD team’s plotting expert and explained the situation to him and he agreed that plotting the AEC Objects would take longer. This is something that their Development team is aware of and working towards improving. One thing he did suggest, but I am sure you already are aware of, is to turn on background plotting.

Thanks again, and have a great day!
