I am using Volo View Express for Autocad drawings

How can I easily get rid of all that white space (margins) abound the drawing or how can I center the drawing and get it to print a little larger on a landscaped 8 1/2 x 11 page?

With VVE, you do not get much control: it relies on your
printer/plotter driver's ability to select sheet sizes etc.

Use the refit option just before you plot and after you zoom into
the area or size you want to plot, that should help.
