Get rid of Akamai, or at least have them get their act together!

Look, I'm not ignorant. I know autodesk has some agreement with Akamai where they get paid "X" to do this. But seriously, if your going to sell your customers PC's, please do it in a way that allows people to still use the software that they need to use. Akamai does not function at all behind a properly configured firewall, or proxy, or any other host of networking strategies which corporations and organizations use. Because now; it straight up dosen't work and to put your customers through such infuratingly badly thought out systems is absolutely infurating.

I didn't used to have issues with Akamai until the past 2-3 years.  Somehow their software has gone backwards from my perspective. 

 

You don't have to use it, however.  Almost every site that uses managed downloaders give you the option to forego such technologies and this is no different with Autodesk.
