Evaluating VoloView - problems

We're currently evaluating VoloView as a web
viewer here, and we've run into a number of
problems. Looking through the older messages
I see that we're not the only ones to encounter
them, but there seems to be no resolution.
All of these problems are encountered while
viewing the drawings in a web browser.

1) Right-click to select, zoom->window and
zoom in on a region of the drawing. Now right-
click no longer brings up the menu -- you have
to hit [ESC] to exit zoom mode. I see a lot of
calls to our help desk for that.

2) The ActiveX viewer doesn't pick up the user's
color settings from the standalone VoloView.
I saw the information on hardcoding a color
scheme by adding parameters to the URL, but it
seems that if a fixed color scheme were an
acceptable solution, you wouldn't have added
an option to set the colors in the full version.

3) The (free) VVExp has a markup option, the
($) VV does not. Is there a way to enable
markups in VV?

My current impression is that for web browsing,
the free VVE works better than VV, but we could
use the raster image support. Are there any
solutions (planned or otherwise) for these problems?

I just tried adding the argument "?BackgroundColor=1441792"
as shown in an earlier thread ("color maps
in hyperlinks"). IE5.01 gives me the message
"There is no viewer available for the type
of object you are trying to open." Removing
the argument allows the drawing to be viewed
(albeit as yellow geometry on a white background).

Is this a bug in IE or VV?

1. That is the UI for Volo View. It does not match
Volo View Express, but that's what they chose.

3. Volo View has a markup option from its program,
but not its control. That should be changing with version 1.2 which was recently
released to manufacturing. Autodesk can comment as to when they think customers
can get it.
