DWG Trueview plotting

How do I plot multicolored layers in all black? Vovloview used to have a single command that would change the view to all black lines/text/layers so when it was plotted it would be legible.

DWG TrueView is not Volo View. It is more like AutoCAD.

If you want ease of printing, our focus is to share DWF files so you can
avoid all of the AutoCAD-isms of DWG. Volo View tried to make DWG printing
easier than AutoCAD, but all people did was complain that the printouts were
not exactly the same. With Autodesk DWG TrueView, they are the same, because
DWG TrueView is a copy of AutoCAD.

Scott, your answer is not specific enough. I still have no clue how to change the appearance of my printout so all the lines are black, not colored. Is there a phone number I can call for technical assistance?

Thx.

Hello R.K.

There's an easier way. From the menubar select "Plot".
The plot dialog box is identcal to AutoCAD. At the upper right corner under Plot Style Table select "monochrome.ctb"

Hope this helps,
Steve

I agree with the easier way big time but I am having a problem even with that method: Some of our desktops are printing some of the drawing text in a light shade of gray. When I use my desktop on the same drawing and printer, it prints good. I haven't been able to figure out what is different between the desktops.

Hey Dennis,

Is the printer you're talking about B&W or Color. If Color, see if you can go to the queue properties and set it to print in B&W.
Good luck,

Hi Steve,
Our printer is black & white. Our Plot Style Table assigns all the colors to be black. The grayscale is set to off.

This is so weird; we have the same program, drawing, and printer. 3 desktops are printing with some text at a light gray and the 4th desktop is printing it in all solid black. I have tried other desktops with this same drawing and program on other printers and they are printing good.

I can confirm this is a big problem.

I have changed all the plot style settings to monochrome.stb
All colours are changed to print in black only with greyscale off.

I am printing to a HP monochrome laser so I have no colour options to change in the printers settings.

However it just prints all light colours in greyscale not in black. ie it is ignoring the colour table when printing.
