DWG Trueview 2013 silent installation on different path (Windows 7)

Hello,

I'm trying to do a silent installation of the DWG Trueview 2013 software on workstations (Windows 7, 64bit). I have edited the files

..\setup.ini

..\x64\dwgviewr\Setup\setup.ini

I have only changed "INSTALL_PATH"

  • from "INSTALL_PATH=%programfiles%\AutoDesk"
  • to "INSTALL_PATH=D:\Win32\AutoDesk"

If I run setup.exe manually the path is correct and the application installs to

"D:\Win32\Autodesk\DWG TrueView 2013\dwgviewr.exe"

But if I run silently (setup.exe /w /q /i setup.ini) the application defaults to original directory

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\DWG TrueView 2013\dwgviewr.exe"

How can I resolve this so I can run the silent installer and that it "respects" my "INSTALL_PATH" parameter in setup.ini?

Regards,

Rikard Strand, Norway

Rikard,

Did you ever get this figured out?  I am also having troubles silently installing DWG TrueView.

Thanks,

Dave

No - I didn't figured out how to change the path.

The silent installation works (using Microsoft SCCM 2007 R2) but I need to use the default path.

Would like to be able to change the path so I have all software packages on the same path on my client systems.

Use this command line :

"C:\...\setup.exe" /w /t /l /q "C:\...\setup.ini"

But I cannot avoid shorcut on the Desktop...

Thanks idubail,

"C:\...\setup.exe" /w /t /l /q "C:\...\setup.ini" works create

If you want to avoid a shortcut on your desktop, set de parameter in setup.ini from your source folder "CREATE_DESKTOP_SHORTCUT= to NO else....
