DW truview 2012 Login error and Ribbon not showing unless

Updated to new version (full install) to DW TruView 2012, it has an error message box before program comes up "Unable to load profile file. Some information from last session may not be restored.". I click box and then it opens program. I then Open a DWG file and "Ribbon" does NOT show up, i have to goto Tools, Show/Hide Ribbon to get it to come up....Windows XP, version 32 bit....thank you...Alfie Cross

You could try deleting your profile in the registry and on the hard drive:

 

delete registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\DWG TrueView

delete user folders (replace <username> with your Windows login ID):

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\DWG TrueView 2012

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\DWG TrueView 2012

 

Restarting DWG TrueView should then recreate your profile from scratch.

 

You can access the above folders by typing %APPDATA% and %LOCALAPPDATA% into the Explorer address bar
