merge lines

i'm having difficulty getting my lines to merge using the DWF6 ePlot.pc3. i have changed every occurance of the pc3 file on my computer to lines merged. i've made dwf files and they seem to look ok on screen but when i plot, it's all overwrite. i'm plotting to a lanier ld 135 printer and i'm using acad 2008 and adr 9.0.0.96.

Not all printers support line merge. If you see the lines merging in the
viewer, than the DWF was published correctly. I would look into your printer
settings. Does your printer driver have any rastor/vector settings?

our printer doesn't have rastor/vector settings, at least not that i could find. how does bluebeam manage to print correctly? or converting plt files to pdf's? we're not buying bluebeam and the plt to pdf looses some clarity.
