Line Merge in the PC3's doesn't work...

... for me, at least. Line Merge works great for my large & small format
printers, but the DWF PC3's are a different story.

The new DWF6 format is ideal for housing easy to view plot sets, and I'd
also like to send a full scale DWF to a consultant instead of a PLT. But I
can't promote this use until Line Merge is fixed. Thanks.

The line merge feature is actually supported in DWF. The Autodesk Express
Viewer is not able to display the line merge in its display. However, when
it prints, it prints the right output with the lines merged.

My apologies, Subu... I ran a couple more and they did print correctly. I
must have not verified my line merge setting, or something (I feel like a
dork for jumping the gun).

So anyway, will the Viewer be able to support the Line Merge in the near
future? This would be great, so people won't be forced to plot drawing for
review, just because a screen is covering something. Thanks!

Rob

The line merge feature is a two edged sword. To support it in the viewer, I
think it was calculated that we would suffer a 10 to 15% performance
degredation. To allow the user to toggle the line merge on/off would cost a
significant footprint/download size increase.

Thank you for the calrification. I'll hope that it stays in your sights and
is resolved someday.
