There may have been several Win98 problems fixed in
the upcoming service pack.  Which one, in particular, were you referring
to?

This one:

Can someone confirm the following: Have EV already installed. Go to: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?id=3023925&siteID=123112 More the slider bar up and down. Do you get strange results in the top left of the screen?

Ah yes, I believe we have fixed that one in the
service pack that's due out very soon.

Will that service pack be something to apply to an
existing installation (a separate download)
or is
the cabinet file at

going to be updated to a newer version so that
upgrading of existing installations will be automatically?

The CAB file will be updated.

After Autodesk updates the CAB file, if you have
HTML pages that look like:

OBJECT

id=Eview

size=2>codeBase=http://www.autodesk.com/global/expressviewer/installer/ExpressViewerSetup.cab#version=3,1,0,78

classid=clsid:A662DA7E-CCB7-4743-B71A-D817F6D575DF

width=470

height=355

users who view your pages will not automatically
get an updated copy if they already have the current version. Of course users
who have nothing will get the updated one, since the new CAB file will download
and install. (I have removed the angle brackets from the tags so as not to
confuse the newsreader software.)

If you want to fix this, you will have to update
your pages to reflect the new version. Let's say the next update is 3.2 build
93. Then you would update your page to be:

OBJECT

id=Eview

size=2>codeBase=http://www.autodesk.com/global/expressviewer/installer/ExpressViewerSetup.cab#version=3,2,0,93

classid=clsid:A662DA7E-CCB7-4743-B71A-D817F6D575DF

width=470

height=355

This means that your page requires version 3.2.0.93. If a user already had
3.1.0.78, this does not meet the requirement, so the CAB file would download and
install. This would upgrade the user from 3.1.0.78 to 3.2.0.93. Recall that
3.2.0.93 is just an example. The next release of AEV may be something like
3.1.0.86 -- I don't know what it will be -- but it will be at least
3.1.0.79.

The service pack appears to have initially fixed this problem, BUT after you print a file the display problem mentioned above comes right back. The problem still only appears to be related to WIN98. We have tried it on several different WIN98 machines and they all have the same problem. Is anybody else experiencing this problem?

Mark,
I am experiencing the same problem - try to print, then the DWF appears at the top left of the screen.

Hi there!

I also have the same problem with WinME. When I click the Print button and
then Cancel, the image "runs" to the top left corner of the screen.
