Viewing Tif, JPG's and other Image Formats?

Can Express Viewer open and allow you to view other image formats such as: .tif, .jpg, .cal, etc.? Or can it only view DWF and DWG file formats. If not does anybody know if there are any plans in the making for it to do so? This would be great for graphic images. Thanks, Jay

At this point, it's a DWF-only viewer (does not
view DWG).  We don't have any short or middle-term plans for viewing any
other format.

If I understand correctly Autodesk has provided an open code for the Express Viewer. If this is correct could an outside (3rd Party) company create a program that would allow you to view other file formats by utilizing the Express Viewer? Thanks in advance for the information...Jay

There are tons of graphic file viewers out there, some free, most are not.
Any internet search engine can point you in the right direction. I doubt
Autodesk is going to waste any development money making yet another, since
their last one died recently.

Just ask those vendors when they plan a DWF6 upgrade.

Not sure where you heard that, but the Express
Viewer source code is not available to 3rd party developers.

Well, it won't open them directly, but you are aware that you can save an image file as a .DWF from AutoCad whatever, right? They're slow to manipulate (pan, etc.) with EV, but a .DWF is actually smaller in file size than the corresponding 2-bit .TIF from which it came, a real plus for me. Procedure: open image file in your imaging software (I use Paint Shop Pro)>>Edit>>Copy>>Paste into new page in AutoCad>>Plot to .DWF at highest detail.
