tripod far away from section, how to reset?

I do a sction face and the section works fine, but i cannot see the tripod gizmo to do things.

I zoom way out, and its way far away.

I grab it to move, and have lost track of my project as it is now a dot.

Is there some trick to centering the tripod on the face you select, or in xy/yz or other sectioning options?

Thank you for your question and apologize for delay response.

Currently we create a section plan based on the bounding box of the whole model, if the bounding box is large enough the section plan will be large too. The position of the triad is on the center of the section plan.

Your suggestion is to set the section plan based on the bounding box of the selected part but not the whole model. Please correct me if I misunderstand your suggestion and I will log your suggestion to Autodesk database.

Please let me know if you have any further question.
