Printing Multiple Copies to a HP Plotter

I can not send multiple copies of DWF sheets to my HP1050c plotters. When I
set the Number of copies to more than 1, only one of each sheet will
actually sent. This feature work fine with other printers.

Thanks
John

The viewer relies on the printers support for multiple copies. If the
printer driver does not support it then neither does the viewer.

I talked with HP about this and they are unable to reproduce your problem.
Can you provide me with more information; a screen shot of the print dialog
would be helpful.

I have an HP1050c Plotter. It will not print multiple copies from DWF
viewer.

Which version of the Printer Driver are you using. We are using v4.66 with
no problems.

We have the same problem with multiple copies. We only get one copy no matter what the number is set to. We have a Xerox 8825. It prints multiple sets fine from AutoCAD but I sometimes use the DWF viewer to print since we have to create a DWF file for in-house viewing and the viewer prints faster than AutoCAD.

I get a similar problem printing to any printer (HP & Oce). If I select more than one copy of a DWF for printing, I always get additional blank sheets.

This is a known problem with some printer drivers. The viewer must be
feeding them the data in a way that some drivers do not issue extra blank
sheets while others do. This has been logged as a defect to be considered
for an upcoming release.

I had to plot out 10 sets of 36 pages on Monday morning. Little did I know that I could only plot 1 set at a time. I got it done that way but it would have been more efficient if the multiple copy feature worked.

I just came across your post and replies today, having the same problem plotting multiple copies using DWF Viewer 6.5 and my Xerox 8830 plotter.

I don't think it's the print driver. I tried 2 printing devices - my Xerox plotter and a network laser printer. Neither of them worked. I think it's the version of DWF Viewer.

What I did try was printing a multi copy on someone' else's computer and it worked. Turned out that he had DWF Viewer 4.1.

So I downloaded that version, uninstalled the 6.5, installed 4.1 and plotted 2 sets of 2 pages. It worked!

So try installing an earlier version.

Good luck.

It is definitely a problem in the DWF Viewer. I did not mean to imply the
problem is elsewhere. When I say it shows up with only certain drivers, it
means that whatever the viewer is doing wrong only results in extra blank
pages when sending data to some drivers. Sorry for the confusion.
