opening file

I have installed Autodesk Express Viewer today and had a file sent to me with a .dwg extension. It does not appear to support this file extension. Is this the correct program to use? Or is there another program that should be used?

The Express Viewer is ONLY for DWF file viewing. The

VoloView product line from AutoDesk is the one for DWG.

OOPS. I also should have added. For the NEW R2004 DWG

format you will need to purchase the VoloView 3 product

For DWG formats prior to R2004 you can get by with the

FREE VoloView Express 2.01 product.


There is also a Classic R14 style DWF file that VoloView

Express 2.01 can also view. This R14 style DWF generator

is loaded as a Print/Plot Driver. Lots of information to

research if you are inclined.
