Not Printing with a HP Printer

I we have system that the Express Viewer is not Printing on.The system is as follows:
Printer HP V40, One of thoes Scanner/Fax Printer Combos
Windows XP Home V2002 SP1
Computer Dell 8200 Dim.

Any guidance woould be helpful

What happens?
Do you get an error message?
Can you print from other applications?
What driver?

Once printing starts, the printer thinks about it for a long while then
gives you a blank piece of paper. That's it.

any suggestions would be helpful.

That description would indicate the wrong driver is being used with the
printer.
