Merge Control

We are looking at distributing our drawings in DWF format, which could save
a lot of time, not to mention trees. However, I've run into a problem with
it. Most all of our drawings have solid fills which we use to create shaded
portions on the drawings, like wall fills, for example. When I set the Merge
Control in the Plotter Configuration Editor for DWF6 ePlot to Lines Merge,
it doesn't seem to work. I know a workaround is to send the solid hatches to
the rear with Display Order, but I don't really want to do that.

At this time EV only supports printing of Merged lines and not viewing.

I've had a similar problem, but the plot was not merged either. DWF6.pc3 is
set to Lines Merge before I publish my drawings. I see shading, but no
lines under it. Ben, are you saying we should not be able to see the merged
lines in EV, but when plotted they will show? If so then mine isn't doing
this.

Yes and no, I think I was a little hasty in my previous post. The merged
lines will definitely not show up when viewing the dwf files, but they will
print if merge is supported by the printer or printer driver.

We are looking into changing in a future release.
