Memory leak when using Express Viewer with Internet Explorer

When using IE and Express Viewer to browse DWF files stored on a web server, the memory usage of IE process becomes greater and greater.
This can be simply verified checking IE memory with Windows Task Manager while loading DWF files through http connections. It is really sufficient to load a DWF file, then click the "refresh" button to reload the file. Each time the file is reloaded, the allocated memory increases.
If you unload the DWF file, e.g. setting the URL to "about:blank", the memory is not freed.
The amount of memory leak depends on the DWF file size, but is always relevant (MB).
I'm using Autocad Express Viewer 3.1 and IE 6.0.

I have noticed this with our VB application that
uses the Express Viewer also, although the second time that you use the viewer
to view a DWF file it seems to load a lot quicker. The memory usage doesn't
increase though as more files are opened though, it only ever seems to stay at
around the same level.

Wonder whether the viewer is designed to stay
memory resident for the sake of performance?
