users who have installed the latest security patch for Windows IE (Q813489)
can no print using the Autodesk Express Viewer, some cannot even view the
DWF's anymore. When checking on what the security patch did, it looks like MS
dropped support for the ActiveX control that uses Plugin.ocx
Anyone else encountering this issue, or know of a
fix?

for your reply Scott. It looks like your using the same version of AEV as we
are (3.1.0.78) and you also have the same IE 6 version number. What seems to
have caused the problem for us is the Internet Explorer security patch that
was released last week (Q813489). If you look in the About IE section you will
also see a listing of Update Versions that look something like this.... SP1,
Q810847, Q813951, Q330994. We had to uninstall the one listed as Q813489 to
regain our ability to print from IE. Do you have that patch
installed?

appears that the problem lies with the fact that we were still using older DWF
files, version 6 files do seem to print okay, but the old versions cause an IE
error when trying to print them. It is a drag to lose the backwards
compatibility since we have some older machines in our organization that are
using the older Whip viewer.
