get dwf into visio?

I am trying to somehow get my dwf's into visio as any vectoring format (not jpg,bmp,etc..) when I try to copy the drawing and paste into visio the detail is lost because it copies the view which is full screen on the drawings that I have. can someone tell me how I can get these detailed dwf drawings into visio so I can edit the drawing, and clearly see the detail of the drawing.
thanks guys!

VISIO (made by Microsoft) does not import DWF files (made by Autodesk): depending on the version you have Visio can do DXF/DWG. You need to ask the DWF creator to send you files in formats your VISIO can handle: see your VISIO documentation for help with the list. -- Dean Saadallah Add-on products for LT http://www.pendean.com/lt --

Thank you for your reply---

I understand that, but is there any program that will open a dwf file and export to a wmf, emf, dxf, dwg, etc. that I can bring into visio 2002 pro.

You can do an Internet search for such a program, if you can find one. -- Dean Saadallah Add-on products for LT http://www.pendean.com/lt --

You can get basic vectors by plotting the dwf to hpgl/2 and convert the plt to dxf. ~Terry halobend wrote: >I am trying to somehow get my dwf's into visio as any vectoring format (not jpg,bmp,etc..) when I try to copy the drawing and paste into visio the detail is lost because it copies the view which is full screen on the drawings that I have. can someone tell me how I can get these detailed dwf drawings into visio so I can edit the drawing, and clearly see the detail of the drawing. >thanks guys! > >

We have updated the software to support the new DWF v6.0 multi page specification. We have also fixed the bug which prevented some entities within certain UCS orientations from being imported." Jason

Try Acme CadConvert. It works great for converting CAD files to/from several formats, including DWF... and it's only $39.95. I've used it to convert DWF files to DWG and it worked great. You could go to DWG, DXF or Scalable Vector file, and then into Visio.
