DWF Viewer 7 problem displaying model

I have DWF V7 installed with the latest updates from IE6.

I have some sample DWF files that load if the file is very small (7k) but when I try opening larger files (500k to 1.5mb) the details load (in the menu bars on the LHS) but the image only flashes quickly before displaying an error;

"there was a problem displaying the model".

I have un / re installed a number of times to no avail - is anyone else having this problem?

The "There was a problem displaying the model." means one of two things.

1. The file is bad. There is a bug in the software used to create the file
or something happened during the creation of the file. If this is the case,
nothing can be done with the file except get a new copy that is published
correctly.

2. There is a defect in the viewer that the file is uncovering. If this is
the case, nothing can be done with that exact file until a viewer update
comes out. A work around is to change something about the source data,
generate a new file, and see if the new file uncovers the same problem.

My point is that a message like this is NOT normally associated with your
install. So don't spend any time uninstalling and re-installing.

Accepting that the file I am trying to be open may be corrupt, I then tried opening the sample DXF files at http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=6421412 and I received the same warning message "there was a problem displaying the model". Any other suggestions?

What's weird is that the small files work. It's as if there is some network
timeout that is chopping the files off before they complete - making them
appear to the DWF viewer as corrupt.
