DWF View Application Won't Open

I had version 7 of the DWF Viewer application.  I uninstalled it and downloaded 2011 version of the DWF Viewer application.  When I attempt to open the updated application I instantly get a windows generated error report, and does not open.  I've gone thru the different discussions but didn't find a solution to my problem.

Windows XP Professional

Version 2002 service pack 3

2.53Ghz, 2.93GB of Ram
