auto-install without Admin rights?

Is there any chance to get a CAB file that installs without Admin
rights, like WHIP.CAB did? Or can i create my own ExpressView.CAB that
does the trick?

The whip.cab did require admin rights.

Scott,

the last whip.cab (Whip! 4.0.42.102) doesn't need admin rights to
install. it doesn't even ask for it.

we have 170 users without admin rights, and it installs on nearly
every pc, unless AutoCAD is present. If that's the case, it refuses to
overwrite some dlls.

Ok. I remember now. If you have the right system32 DLLs and the CAB file
does not need to update them, then you can get away without having admin
rights. But if the CAB file does have to update something in
windows\system32 like MFC42.DLL, then it does require it. I know whip4.exe
checks for admin rights.

Thanks for the info Scott.

But, do you have any solution for ExpressView.cab?

Sorry but I never worked on the Express Viewer CAB. I am not sure how that
one works.

ExpressViewer cab requires admin rights to install. However, you can create
your own installer and cab from the files that it installs. All required
files should be installed in the target directory location you specified
during install. The default is \Autodesk\Autodesk Express
Viewer.
If you go this route, you will need to register AdView.dll and
AdPageView.dll
