Newly Added Font Not Loaded

Hello,

I have added a new font file (SHX) to the fonts folder in Autocad. However, Autocad won't load this new font.

I have used (findfile "filename.shx") to find the file and it worked just fine.

Attached are the font files I am trying to load.

Any help would be appreciated.

They also work for me back in ol' 2004.  Might there be more than one folder with fonts in it, and might you have put them in the wrong one somehow?

[And I'm curious as to whether there are any differences between the two fonts, which appear to be identical in limited comparison.]

I place mine in the Windows font folder and never had any trouble. AutoCAD can find them by default I guess.

Sorry that was for .ttf fonts. 😞

You may need to close and restart Acad if it was open when you copied in the shx files.  I don't think Acad dynamically looks up the font list - more likely it jsut reads it once on open and keeps it in memory or a temporary location.
