A,3,-.125,.125,-.125
*HOTWTR,_____ _ _ _____
A,3,-.125,.125,-.125,.125,-.125
*RECIRC,_____ . . . _____
A,4,-0.2,0,-0.2,0,-0.2,0,-0.2
*EXISTING,_ _ _ _ _ _ _

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

Where did you place these in the *.LIN File?

And which LIN file did you use? acad or acadiso?

Is there a return at the end of the last definition leaving a blank space in the LIN file?

By display do you mean they are Loaded but not visible in Modelspace?

Or are you unable to Load these with the Linetype Command?

I didn't add the linetypes to the existing .LIN files. I created a new one and added the linetyes from the new file. I don't have a return at the end.

I'm able to load the linetypes but they display as a continuous line except the existing linetype.

I'm unable to get them to show up unless I change the ltscale. If leave the ltscale at 1 the existing linetype shows up fine, just not the other two. Why is that?

The first segment of your first 3 linetypes is greater than 1 unit, while the first segment of the "existing" linetype is 0.02 units, so it's natural that "existing" would display Ok while the other 3 won't.

Scale down the segments and spaces in the first 3 linetypes, use real world units. If you want a dash to be 0.25" long, use 0.25, etc.

Sorry for the huge image, but it shows you the scale relationship between the 4 linetypes as they are now.

Actually, it just took a min to fix.

*COLDWTR,_____ _ _____
A,.125,-.125,.125,-.125
*HOTWTR,_____ _ _ _____
A,.125,-.125,.125,-.125,.125,-.125
*RECIRC,_____ . . . _____
A,0.2,-0.2,0,-0.2,0,-0.2,0,-0.2
*EXISTING,_ _ _ _ _ _ _
A,.02,-.02

 Results in this.

Just what I was showing here.

The RECIRC needed to be near 5 units before the defintion looked like what the OP wanted.

I got it fixed. Thanks for the help. After making the first number smaller it worked fine.
