Creating decal on lofted feature

I'm trying to create a decal on the outside of a feature that was created using the loft command. First off, I'm not able to create a sketch on the outside of the lofted feature so I created a work plane above the surface in hopes of being able to wrap the decal to the face once the sketch was completed. I was able to select a face, but it was the inner face of the loft, causing the decal to show on the inside of the part rather than the outside. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

This sounds like an Inventor problem, not an AutoCAD problem.
