The status still shown as accepted...
Could there be a mistake?
Thanks,
Your Idea is not the first Idea requesting CV's in the Idea station.
In fact, when you start typing the title of your idea into the title box it already suggests an existing idea.
That Idea is much older and has already 39 votes and leaves me wondering why it is not also in "Accepted" status.
@Anonymous any comments on that ?
I Really Don't Care Who was the first !!!!
All I Want is the CV as fusion has Promised Me, "early half of this year"
And now it has been downgraded...
So could you please give me an explanation for that instead
@TrippyLighting / any way my post is a half year older then cekuhnen wones 😉 10-08-2015 to May-16
Ok then take this one from 2014 or some of the posts from cekuhnen in 2013.
No, it really does not make sense who is first. What I was saying and what you did not get is that your Idea is not the only idea in the idea station requesting CV curves and as such the info in the screenshot you provided may not be an exact match for your idea. Your Idea in the Ideastation is still "Accepted".
The link Nathan provide is not exactly hard to follow.
Whot ?
We are asking for exactly the same thing CV`s and nothing is happening sens 2013...
And now you hav even downgrade it
explain explain explain explain explain explain explain explain
im sure that cekuhnen will be satisfied 3 degrees nurbs curves (CV´s)
Dude, really ?
You Idea has N.O.T. been downgraded. I created the screenshot from your idea just now.
TrippyLighting What's going on For You
It's not about "my idea" !!! Simply a lot of users is Waiting For the CV´s and the CV´s has been downgraded, related to IdeaStation Update – June 2016
and we are asking for exactly the same... NURBS curve (cv´s)
Let's review the meaning of the Accepted status from the Ideastation Update:
"...Your idea has been accepted which means it’s either already being worked on, or is being actively planned and slated to be released within the next 6 months. There is, however, a possibility that it may get delayed due to changes in product roadmap or focus on other higher priority projects."
When you look at the Ideastation Update 2 from @promm you note that:
"We have a team on our solver side that is working on CV’s. Once they are done our sketch team will start work on implementing CV’s."
From this statement, you can deduce that work is in progress. It is clearly a high priority in product management's mind to have given the idea a status of "Accepted." Given the nature of software development, timelines can be very tricky to estimate. This is why the roadmap is updated every 6 months! I would not agree that the idea has been "downgraded," since the status is still "accepted" in the actual ideastation and the idea referenced in the blog post differs (note you can click on the light bulb next to the name in the blog post to open the idea):
The confusion here stems from multiple requests for the same feature in the Ideastation. This is why it is a good idea to search the Ideastation first to prevent duplication and confusion!
Another thing to keep in mind is that the blog post Ideastation Update 2 was intended to notify about a modification to the review process for the Ideastation. This blog post was not intended to provide an update to status for a given idea. To do that, we would update the actual Ideastation post. Plus, we likely recognize you by username in the next product update, see the below quote from the Ideastation update:
"If you receive an email about your idea status being changed to Implemented, it means that just made it into the product update that is going out that day! Before we change the status, we typically comment in the post to let you know that the idea is going to be released in a given update. We will also include your brilliant idea in our what’s new blog posts as a token of appreciation for your participation in making Fusion 360 better for the community!"
The 6 month window since @colin.smith updated the status has just recently past. When you think about it, this is really a blink of an eye in Fusion development time. You can see from the Product Update archive that we've already had 16 updates this year in 2016! I'm sorry it is not in there, but I know the team is work as hard as they can to accomplish as much as possible.
At this point I don't have any visibility on a target date for CV's, I can only confirm that they are coming. With that said, I will be happy to find out further information and circle back to you with more detail as soon as I can.
I hope that helps!
I understand the confusion here and want to echo @innovatenate statement, we have not downgraded this idea. While I try to combine similar ideas when possible, it is clear that I missed this one. Let me provide some more information about the timeframe for CV spline. The CV spline development had to start with our solver team before it could be integrated by our sketch team. The solver team has made great progress and we recently reached the point where work can be done on the sketch side. At this time our sketch team is focused on an upcoming release of fully constrained. Once completed, members of the sketch team will work on CV spline. Just as you would expect with summer, many people are taking extended vacations. We also have families that have just expanded and I am proud to state that I work for a company that allows for employees to spend time with their newborns. All of this will add a little more time to the release of CV, just know that we are listening and working towards a solution.
Cheers,
Mike Prom
Thank you so much for your answer.
I'm happy to hear CV´S isn't downgraded 🙂
And great to hear Fusion already planned for the next generation coders and mom and dad got some time together with them.
