Extrude bug

Extrude dialog is changing to the Move dialog in the middle of an extrude operation.  Other than hovering the mouse over the operation type, no user input caused the extrude command to be executed and replaced with the move dialog. Repro occurs about 90% of the time.

The unseen side of the GT2-5mm timing pulley has a complex set of spokes that aren't necessary when milling (but will look nice when 3d printed).

Model is attached.

p.s. There are other ways to create the solid body for the pulley, so I don't need a workaround.

Hi @etfrench.  This is a known bug.  I can't seem to find which bug it is just now, but I'll keep looking.  I think it is fixed, but just not released yet.  The problem, for those that are interested, is that, when typing, sometimes (it's not clear even what leads to this), the text entry field loses focus, so when you type, the characters go to the system that is listening for hotkeys.  When you type the "m", it gets interpreted as the hotkey for Move.

Sorry for the inconvenience.  I know this is a painful one...

Just FYI:  I was wrong, this is a different problem than I thought.  Thanks for posting it.  The reason why this happens, at a very low level, is because of the "-" in there.  The minus sign causes Fusion to flip the direction, which loses focus for a second, and the "m" then gets interpreted as a hotkey.  The good news is that a similar bug was already being worked on, and the fix should fix this problem as well.   The workarounds are not great.  Either you can skip the "mm" (Fusion will fill it in for you), or you can either type really fast, or really slow.  What causes the bug is medium-speed typing, oddly enough.  Fusion has a timer that goes off after a small delay and executes a preview.  That's when this bug appears.

We are still working on a fix for this.

There is a workaround, click once in the canvas.

Here is an example to show you how it works:

1. New Fusion file
2. Create a custom parameter and call it "ledmodel" (without the quotes)
3. Sketch a rectangle by dragging, no text input.
4. Dimension one of the sides (after finishing rectangle command)
5. Double click the dimension to edit it
6. Click in canvas once (key step)

So after step #5 you click the canvas once, the bug doesn't happen (the dimension HUD flashes briefly but it gets focus again). It will not interpret parameter text as hotkeys.
