Save button is grayed out.  This message comes up every time I try to save:  In order to work offline we need an up to date list of your projects. Please return online to automatically refresh the list.

How do you save your drawing???

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

Just to check - is there a file that is pending being saved? I just want to make sure that we don't lose any data! I do know that we can force a recovery file save if you press CMD+Shift+S, but let's make sure it saves successfully before exiting the software. Are you able to export the file at all (as a .f3d file for back up)?

Off of the top of my head, the bug that was present in the other post you posted in has been fixed (which might be why that workaround is not working). The only other thing I can think of is if the file is in Read Only mode or if you do not have a valid entitlement on your account. Do you see Read Only anywhere near the top of Fusion? Also, is this happening on all files, or just one? We can check the entitlement if you go to the About dialog from the Help menu in the top-right corner. What does it say next to Active Plan?

Quick question - are you able to toggle into offline mode and save there? I'm curious if switching the environments will trigger that message to go away.

Thanks,

Yes, there is a file that is pending a save.  It's a design I worked on for several hours.  I don't want to lose it, but It is impossible to save my work.  So I've had to keep my computer turned on and Fusion open for days.

To answer your questions:

Cmd + Shift + S does absolutely nothing.

Save icon is grayed out.  Clicking on the save icon does absolutely nothing.

Clicking on Export produces the following:  "In order to work offline we need an up to date list of your projects. Please return online to automatically refresh the list."

What am I missing???

Hi @Anonymous,

In order to save the data and hopefully fix this quickly - I'd like to do a remote desktop session with you and hopefully get to the bottom of this issue!

Can you please email me at james.youmatz@autodesk.com and we can set up a time to meet.

Thanks,

Hi @mra_open,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

Can you please send me your diagnostic log files - these can be found in the Help menu within Fusion. This should give me a better clue as to what is going on. Just to check, can you save the file in offline mode or any export options? Realistically, a restart of Fusion should fix this issue (a lot of times it is due to the file being in use or a pending save that has not gone through), but we need to make sure we preserve the data that you are currently working on that cannot be saved. Please let me know if you are unable to save the file still, and we can set up a remote session and make sure it gets fixed!

Thanks,
