Can someone show me how to emboss text on a rectangle

Need help embossing text. Also adding texture to the embossed text. Emboss means raised text, just in case. I need it raised .25 - .50". Video explanation will work best.

To Emboss just right click and from the menu select Press\Pull and select the text. I'm not sure about adding a texture you might be able to add one in the render workspace but it will only be visual.

How do I change the color of the text without changing the color of the plane it rests on?

Right click and pick Appearance, then pick faces option on the dialog and drag and drop colours\materials onto the faces.
