Bug in Sketch Rectangular Patterns: Distance Type changes unexpectedly when edit

After creating a rectangular pattern in a sketch, I edit the pattern and the Distance Type has switched from Spacing to Extents which screws up the pattern.

Thanks for sharing this. I can reproduce the distance type (spacing/extent) reverting upon edit and the inability to select the same sketch entity to be patterned as a direction reference.

The latter case, I'm not sure if it is working as designed or not, but have logged it anyway under report ID, FUS-23688.

The distance type issue seems like bug and I have logged that under report ID, FUS-23687.

If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you again for reporting this!

I'm having the same issue while making a pattern of features along a path. The preview for the spacing shows up fine when the settings window is open, but it switches to extent distance type once the window is closed. Opening the window again it still shows, and previews, the distance type as spacing.

Workaround appears to be deleting and recreating the pattern, though this only worked for me on the third attempt.
