We are using the Whip 2D subset of the toolkit to export DWF files from our app. Many of our clients drawings contain hundreds of bitmap images, many of which are instances of the same bitmap. We are seeing the DWF files get very large (tens of megabytes) when the source bitmaps are large (some are 100K for example). In AutoCAD drawing files the size seems to be minimized by use of IMAGEDEF and IMAGE occurrences of it, or at least the size could be limited by including the image in a block and inserting it. Is there any correspondence to IMAGEDEF or blocks/inserts in DWF Toolkit? There are certainly no class members that would seem to apply, so we are using WT_Image to create and output every occurence of an image. Note, our app is using an older version of DWF Toolkit (7.3.1). Is there anyhthing we are missing in 7.3.1 that could help us minimize the DWF file sizes or is there anything available in later versions of the toolkit that could help?
Thanks,
Chris
