How do I get the highlighter input to show as transparent in a PDF print of the DWF file? See attachments.
I wouldn't bother. Seriously. If you're exporting to PDF anyway, just highlight your text in Acrobat:

Just consider the user population. How many people use Autodesk, and how many use Acrobat?
(Not to mention, there are dozens of imitators and clones of Acrobat, some of which are freeware
or shareware, but functionally equivalent. Check out the available downloads at http://www.planetpdf.com
and http://forums.planetpdf.com/ .)
It's the equivalent of asking a complex technical question about the Icelandic language, when you
could be asking how to do the same thing in English. Or Mandarin. Or French or Portugese.
But not Icelandic, or Old Norse. (With which Icelandic shares more similarities than any of the other
modern Scandanavian languages.)
As noted above, mark up PDFs directly: but you don't have to buy Acrobat, you can use freeware like FOXIT READER to do the same.
Is there any solution on this issue? We are also facing this problem.
Is there any setting in ADR itself so that the highlight will remain transperent when we convert it to pdf.
That's pretty much what all the responses here have talked about, use a PDF markup tool for PDF output files.
I have similar problem. I was using DWF extensively as paperless option until I started with Bluebeam. Bluebeam has great features that outweighs DWF and Adobe Pro. I am not sure why Autodesk cannot make DWF markups printable.
