DWF does not inherit custom view settings (Ground Plane/Shadow) from Inventor 3D

DWF does not inherit custom view settings (Ground Plane/Shadow) from Inventor 3D-model

Steps to reproduce:

1. Run Inventor. Enable "Ground Plane" and "Ground Shadows" options;

2. Open fresh copy of C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2014\Samples\models\Parts\OilPan\OilPan.ipt;

3. Export IPT to OilPan.DWFx and open result in ADR;

4. Enable "Drop Shadows" option;

***Make sure shadow in DWFx is placed alike ground plane in IPT

5. Open fresh copy of OilPan.ipt in Inventor, click LEFT face on View Cube and execute "Set current view as TOP" command;

6. Export IPT to to OilPan_2.DWFx and open result in ADR.

Make sure shadow in OilPan_2.DWFx is the same as in OilPan.DWFx

Issue is actual for:

Inv2014 SP2 upd2

Inv2015 SP1

Ask fellow Inventor users how they might do what you want, in Inventor http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor/ct-p/70

Thank for the "answer" but IMHO you're trying to drive me in the wrong
direction.

I've 10+ years of Inventor experience and I should admit there is no
problem to change model orientation in Inventor.

Problem is DWF which don't inherit the orientation. What was defined by
user as "Top" side in Inventor become again "Left" side in ADR.

Till now I've discovered that ADR user can change the shadow direction
for all models manually if needed (Options > Model > Shadow Settings >
Light).

But the problem still actual. The main question is:

How to force DWF (or ADR) inherit orientation from the Inventor?

Not only shadows rely on model orientation but also "walking" mode ... I
don't fill like changing ADR setting for each model when I need one of
those thing to look proper....

ADR only looks at what was exported in DWF format, it does nothing else.
You need to fix the source file at creation.

More iInventor users frequent the Inventor forum than here: good luck.
