Design Review

Hi guys, I'm testing out DR for clients of mine. I design some pretty big models.. I guess. The DWF file is about 2.5 mg and it has to run on a office type PC, read min. resourses. So I load the DWF file in to an older PC and it's slow ... to the point that I think my clients will give up in frustration, leading me back to generating Acad files from Inventor and this NOT where I want to go.

My question is ... is there any work arounds to make this run at a useable level?

Does it have gradients in it?

Similar problem here.

The first time ADR is launched (by double-clicking a DWF file for
example), it takes a ridiculous amount of time to launch.

To open a tiny 46k file, it takes 6 seconds before the application
appears on the screen, and a full 30 seconds before the file is fully
loaded. I know that doesn't sound like much, but 30 seconds is an
eternity while waiting on a file to load. Fortunately, the second time
you launch a DWF file, it only takes about 4 seconds to load the file.

The same file in PDF format launches in Acrobat Reader (v.8 - same
computer) in 4 seconds the first and each subsequent time.

I'm not so worried about the time it takes to load ... it's that when it does load, the model is very slow and hard to manipulate. it took me 10 mintues to get it into a postion where I could get a measurement, it seem to eat up a lot of resourses ... I can't see my clients putting up with that ... which is about the same as Adobe.
