Design Review Crashes - File Menu

When using Design Review 2013 everytime I click the menu/file button it crashes. I've tried re-installing and that hasn't done anything, I'm currently having to use 2012 instead. Any fix for this?

*maybe* something related to this...? Do you mean that is crashes right when you click the Application Menu button (the big "D" in the upper left corner)?

Yes, the button with the big D. I just called it the file/menu button as that's usally where file is

"Open and Save" tab doesn't exist when you go to "Options" in Design Review

did you ever found the solution for this. I suddenly have the same case, cannot click the application button, ADR just crashes.

Autodesk please give an answer to this question why does Design Review Crash When the D in the upper left hand corner is selected. Are there any workarounds. This happens all the time and users are losing work in Design Review every time this happens and they can't save there work.

Following up on your thread, were you able to find a solution or a workaround?

 

Did any of the posts in the thread help with the issue?

Hello,

 

I need help on this also.

Whenever i try to click the big D on the top left, it crashes saying there's a error and prompt me to send the error to autodesk.

 

Please help me on this as i cannot save my markups.

Hi @daryllok

 

Just a few questions: 

 

  • Are you running the most recent release of Design Review? 
  • What OS are you running? 
  • Have you had an issue like this before? 

 

Have you tried a clean uninstall/reinstall of the Design Review?

Hello Dean,

 

I'm using both ADR 2013 / 2018. Which both of them having the same problem which is not being able to select the top left D menu.

I have tried both 2013 / 2018 version for AutoCAD Design Review.

Both have the same problem.

 

I'm currently using windows 10.

 

The issue at first is at 2013 which I have given up on and came here,

then I found out 2018 is out so I downloaded it but to no avail. same problem and everything.

Sorry for the typing error. *AutoCAD Design Review* Should be Autodesk Design Review

 

By the way, currently now the error has not surface after installing the hotfix for ADR 2018.

Will monitor for now.

Which hotfix sorted the issue for you?

 

I've installed one from April

but have a user on a Windows 10 x64 Surface Pro 4 for which the issue is occurring exactly as described in this post.

Currently i'm also finding out why it's not working.

Last time the hot fix has worked for me but the problem has return.

 

I have created another ticket asking for help also.

I have the same issue but only started recently in last 3-4 weeks yet I've used version 2016 for 5 months prior without issue.  I can open files only through windows explorer and can view, pan, zoom, markup.  But once I click the file menu "D" button then instant crash and error report.  Nothing ever happens with error report so I'm trying this now.   I don't see any responses from Autodesk on most forum topics so I think this is a waste of time too.
