The web team has indicated that the new executable has propagated to all of
the servers. You should be able to install it now.

So, how long is "a number of weeks"? I thought that I saw something in another thread that said it would be available around mid-July. It is now the end of July and there is no trial available.

We are really interested in this but want to trial it first. Anything more specific on the date?

Thanks!

I think it will be mid August to the end of August at least. See why we
don't post availability dates in the newsgroups. This is the very reason.

Sure, I see the reason! From my point of view its because you don't want your customers to be able to plan on anything or count on Autodesk to deliver on commitments. If I ran projects and missed dates as often and by much as software companies, I wouldn't be running projects anymore.

And, its not like the product is still in development. My understanding is all that needs to be done is to make it into a trial version. Its not like Autodesk doesn't know how to make trial versions.

Believe it or not, there are issues because it is a trial version. Our
products rely on Internet Explorer.

Recall that a recent Microsoft patch puts up what they call "a gold bar."

http://dwf.blogs.com/beyond_the_paper/2006/05/use_onload_func.html

That gold bar is unexpectedly impacting the activation/deactivation of the
product because it is a trial. The gold bar didn't exist when the trial
version was originally planned. Now we have to account for it.

By the way, we're talking about a trial version of a $199 product. If
evaluating this software is mission critical for you, I can get you one
regular copy to try. You can uninstall it if you decide not to buy.

Good point! Thanks for bringing me back to reality.

It's usually easier to do the trial version than go through purchasing to get something that you might end up returning.

Autodesk Design Review 2007 supports the latest DWF format. CADzation is an
Autodesk DWF Partner. The DWF files that AcroPlot creates are indeed
compatible. CADzation creates these files using the DWF Toolkit that they
obtained from Autodesk. Autodesk DWF Viewer 7.0 also views the latest DWF
files.

I have dwf 7.0, it says it is an unsupported file type.

Please send me the file. There is no such thing as DWF 7.0. The latest DWF
file format version is 6.11. I think someone is writing the wrong version
information.

Thank you for sending the file. The version info in the file is 6.0;
however, the file is corrupt. I cannot view it in Autodesk Design Review
2007. So this is not a DWF versioning problem. This is a bad file.
