ADR 2013 closing issue

Hi,

I'm using ADR 2013 on my XP SP3 Professional machine.

Installed it via online installder. Before that i had dwf viewer 7.

But now and then ther's a problem closing the program.

It opens up fast but i can't close it after that. I mean when i click X button, program just doesn't close.

I must close it trough Task Manager. After that if i try to open it again it works like a charm.

What can be the problem ?

Waiting for a fast reply,

Ragnar 🙂

I am having the same problem, I can not use any of the buttons (ninimize, restore down or close) the Application button is floating around and the quick access toolbar appears behind the ADR window.... It's getting annoying. Any suggestions????

 I am using ADR 2013 on a windows 7

Your program window is not maximized, or are you running this very old program on a 4k display? A screenshot showing the problem would be helpful.

Hey ZKat,

We ran into that issue a lot, previously.

In our environment, I found that if your Windows display settings are set to magnify (anything greater than 100%), then Design Review acts strange, including the issue where it will NOT close by clicking the X icon in the top right.

I noticed this problem in particular on our laptops with very high resolution video cards. Because the resolutions were so high, many users used the Windows setting to make the icons and text larger, typically Medium(125%) or Large (150%).

Most applications work fine with this magnification but some older apps, like ADR, just sort of freak out.

Try setting your display to 100% and see if that fixes the issue.

To get to this setting, just go to Display Settings (in Control Panel or right click on your Desktop) then click the "Make text and other items larger or smaller" text.

You'll need to restart Windows after the change because this little tweak changes a LOT regarding how applications interact with the display.
