ADR 2011 Font not coming in correctly

Once I upgraded to ADR 2011, some of the fonts are not coming in correctly when we look at a dwf file.  In our office some computers still had version 2010 and the files look fine on there, but for some reason version 2011 doesn't recognize them.  Some of the letters look OK but others are replaced with a rectangle box.

I've checked other computers using 2011 and they all show the font as being messed up so it's not just my computer, but older versions of ADR work fine.  Does anyone have a remedy for this or experienced this yet?  Im trying to avoid uninstalling 2011 to replace it with an older version.

Thanks for the help.

Thank you for the reporting.

I did not experience this issue.

Could you please attach your DWF file for further investigation?

Thank you for your file.

I reproduced this issue in ADR 2011. The numeric letters are replaced with the rectangles.

I have logged a bug to the Bug Tracking System.

If you want to avoid this issue at once, please change your system language to a double-byte language such as Chinese or Japanese, because those numeric letters look like double-byte. Yes, I changed the language and then it displayed correctly.

For XP system:

1. Go to Control panel.

2. Open the Regional and Language Options dialog.

3. Click Advanced tab.

4. Expand the drop-down list at the Language for non-Unicode programs field.

5. Choose Chinese (PRC).

6. Click Apply.

7. Click Yes to restart the system.

Please let me know if I can be of any further help.

I don't have Chinese or Japanese as an option in that drop down.  And it seems pretty rediculous that in order to get this to work I have to set my computer to a language I don't even speak.  What causes this problem from Autodesk and why haven't they developed a patch to fix this?

Seems like every time we do a so-called "up grade" to anything from Autodesk it works worse than the previous version we had.  That goes for Auto CAD as well.

I have uninstalled the ADR 2011 and will now be attempting to find version 2010 to download back to my computer and WILL NOT be upgrading it.

If you know of another way please let me know, but I'm really tired of their programs causing delays and eatting up our time in the office because they can't produce a stable, quality product that performs the way it should!

This defect should be fixed in ADR 2012. You can download ADR 2012 for free from here.
