STEP export bugged

I wanted to convert a SolidWorks file so I can open it in Alias (so I used Fusion as the converter)

and noticed that the STEP export for this model is bugged - most parts are missing

to get a usable data I needed to use IGES

The car was from GrabCad:

Thanks for reporting this, Claas.

I will work with the experts who know this area better to look into it, and will update the post if any findings.

Hi Nicolas,

I also found the bug on hidden bodies when exporting STEP files from the parametric mode. As I mentioned to Phil and Jake in Shanghai, I tested this new update with the same model with problems, I think the June update fixed that.

Great work team!

Hi Nicolas, I really appreciate your team's great work!. Yes most of the problems I had reported had been fixed. I am actually an everyday heavy user of your program. I used the program to design products like Perfume bottles, Perfume Bottle Stoppers for my European cosmetic clients., plastic bottles for pharmaceutical companies and you also know that I design and manufacture my own lifestyle products in France (plastic pendants) and Zhuhai (Injection Molding factory). Going into the world now. The design in Fusion360 products will be introduced to the world at one synchronized time in Asia (Singapore), Europe (France and UK) and the US. My International Distributor is hard at work in the UK just now and enroute to the US to finalize arrangements for their products. My products are one of the products they are marketing to the world!.

Many thanks to the Fusion team for such wonderful programs for all of us especially me (A Professional Chemist turned into Designer)! Your team will remain as my lifetime friends!
