Delete split body

Pardon me if this is mentioned somewhere else in the forums, but I have an issue with a workflow that I am sure I have used before.  After splitting a body by using the face of an intersecting body, I cannot delete one of the newly created bodies.  Instead Fusion deletes the split feature and reverts to a single body.  See the screencast:

Hello,

this looks like a defect, we are going to investigate it and fix.

At the moment I would suggest to use hide body in browser.

regards

Martin

What you are seeing is the difference between Hard delete and Soft delete. Now known as Delete and Remove.

Delete = upstream deletion of all history of the thing you are deleting. This can cause downstream dependencies to get sick because you are truly deleting the object from the history.

Remove = downstream deletion of the object. This allows the object to stay in history for some time, it has references that persist, and "removal" is a timeline entry when you do it.

I hope this helps!
