ATTN users using Cloud libraries - Hot fix coming.

We have found an important issue and would like to get a warning out quickly to help avoid loss of data with your cloud tool libraries.

The team is working hard to correct the issue in a hotfix. This does affect Cloud libraries on both the mac and PC side.

Putting the importance of your tool libraries first, wee recommend in the short term to export your cloud libraries and then import them to a local folder.

The team takes this issue very seriously and will update here with more information on timing for the hotfix.

Note, I love to engage on the forums. However, I spend a lot of time in meetings trying to help clear the path for our amazing team of Developers working on Manufacturing at Autodesk. So, if I don't respond immediately, it's not that I don't care.

I just noticed this today after my latest update.  My Cloud Library is gone.  Will we be getting these libraries back or are they gone forever?

This link should take you to A360 Drive trash folder, from there you should be able to restore your files. You might want to look in the CAMTools folder under all datafirst!

Thanks for the reply Mark.

That link doesn't work for me, and I don't really understand what you mean by, "CAMTools folder under all datafirst".  I'll just wait until the hotfix is implemented and see if they return.  If not, I'll just start over and make sure I do regular backups before upgrading again.

Try going to your Dashboard and selecting A360 Drive top right of your screen and see if that works.

That should take you here. Your tools should be in the CAMTools folder if it's empty try looking in the trash, if the files are in the CAMTools folder you can download from there and save backups.

My dashboard looks very different than what you posted, and the link you posted to it just brings up a blank page. I'm guessing A360 is different from Fusion 360?

Have you ever looked at any of your project in your internet browser? If you click your name in the data panel it should open A360 in your browser.

I can confirm that my cloud library is also gone. It was not located in the trash (which is called "archived" for me) either. I'd be interested to know if the library will be restored? My last archieve is from a few months ago...

Archived is in A360 not A360 Drive.

Select A360 drive from the top right in your browser.

Clicking my name there also brings up a blank page 😞

Lukily the Cloud Library I started, was for the current project I'm working on, so all the tools are still in my CAM Tool Library under "Documents".  Until the cloud library issue is resolved, I can use the tools from there.

I don't seem to have the same options as you when I try and access A360 Drive. It just brings me back to A360 every time.

Sorry I forgot you need to enable viewing A360 drive, click your initials and click settings then enable.

Al,

Thanks for the heads up.

I was able to drag my tools from my cloud library to my local library without incident.

After using the Export Library feature all of my tools that I exported were deleted when I went back in!!

I was able to re-import the tools using the "Import Library" function in the CAM Tool Library, but this was disconcerting all the same.

Hi Jason,

Yes a fix for this problem was released on Thursday 5/12. Have you updated to the new version of Fusion? If you go to the '?' in the top right corner, and then click about you should see 2.0.2016.

We weren't able to do an auto-migration of your library, so you would have to import the library again.

Have you gone to your trash in A360 Drive and attempted to find the tool library prior to this problem (the one with extension JSON, NOT TOOLS)?

Once you find that library, you should restore it, download it locally to your machine and then use the import button in the Fusion Tool Library Manager.

I would be glad to walk you through these steps via skype if you are still having problems.

Feel free to reach out to me directly at [email protected]

Best Regards,

Noah
