Mudbox 2015 hole filling?

Is there any good way to fill these holes direct in Mudbox? I tried to edit the base mesh in Maya but the results were horrible after sending it back to Mudbox and details transfered.

There's Patch -function in Mudbox but it does not work in my case. Any other ways to deal this problem?

After some trial and error I got it finally right. Edited the base mesh again in Maya, this time not extruding my new "eye sockets" inwards, sending base mesh back to Mudbox it transfered the details on it quite ok. Except for the mesh errors.
