Face Selection Problems?

Here's the link to the video of what is going on.

I'm importing a mesh from Maya, then trying to set a topological axis. First of all, the mesh comes in just fine, but it's not quads when you select the faces...it's selecting all tris, which doesn't allow you to select very well at all. Am I doing this wrong, or is a setting screwed up? Not sure what is going on here.

You are not alone, I believe the selection process is to be addressed in the update out shortly. Mind you I havent seen the triangulation on my screen like that before.

Yep its addressed along with alot of other stuff.

today is my last working day this year...
a new mud version without all these bugs in 2009 would be fine 😄

Well you can blame yours truley for finding a rather nasty bug a little while back that pushed the release back due to being very subborn. Although it will be worth the wait I assure you. I think I'm right in saying that about 99% of all bugs have been fixed as well as new features added.
