Converting 3-D Wireframe Drawing to Solid

I've started using mudbox 2011, on a mac mini for some reason when i choose my object it comes on like a wireframe. And i am not able to turn it into a soild object. any suggestions i was thinking that it was my graphics card, but i can use maya so im confused..help 🙂

maybe is the object inverted?

 here is the start-up screen for miudbox, my objects don't come in as a solid, but wireframe only and i cant get it to turn into a solid..
