Missing HTML Tab in Forum Post Box

I performed a quick search of the board before posting, but couldn't find any issues related to this, so perhaps it is a user-specific setting that I cannot find.

In any case, the HTML tab appears to be missing from my post editor, as shown in the following image:

nohtml.png

As you can see, only the 'Rich Text' and 'Preview' tabs are shown.

I'm using FF23, but the tab is also not present in IE10.

I also had a quick browse of the 'My Settings' section and didn't see anything relating to it being disabled.

Any advice is appreciated.

I have all 3 tabs in FF23.  Out of curiosity, what happens if you uncheck "Use Rich Text Editor".... I think that should make the HTML editor the default.

Blocking any cookies, or javascript on the page?

This option was already unchecked - but checking/unchecking this option seems to make no difference. :smileysad:

Cookies enabled; javascript enabled (can't disable javascript without an extension in FF23).

I don't particularly wish to install Chrome just to test this, but since nestly has reported that three tabs are available for them in FF23, and that I also don't have the tab in IE10, I would assume that it will also not be present for me in Chrome. :smileysad:

Many thanks for the replies - I would dearly love to get this sorted - the HTML tab makes it so much easier to compose a reply.

I do see the tab in FF23 here as well.

Something on your system is the culprit. Now finding that is the real trick.

Thanks for the confirmation Charles.

Is it possible that the HTML tab has somehow been disabled for my account on these forums?

I only suggest that option since I believe I am running mostly default settings in FF23, and couldn't see any other settings pertaining to this issue within the forum preferences.

Excellent - the HTML tab is now back:

Many thanks!

Out of curiosity, what was the issue?

Was this tab somehow disabled on my account, or was there a setting I had overlooked?
