The name displayed on the left is your login/userID. You can change this to any supported value under Edit Account Settings. Unfortunately, the userID does not support spaces.
If you were using a NNTP before the new system was launched, older posts will display whatever "handle" you had configured in your newsreader client. Through NNTP, users were "anonymous" behind the scenes (no authentication). We could only capture and preserve your newsreader name on the post, but could not tie back to an Autodesk Sign in account.
Enter DWGPROPS at the command line.
This will pull up the drawing properties; Under the Summary tab, you can change the Title, Subject, Author, Keywords, and Comments of any AutoCAD drawing you are working in.
Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!
The OP was looking to have his Login name in this Forum updated not the name on the drawing files.
Thanks for offering the input and taking the time to. The more voices here in these Forums the better.
I recently came across the issue of just changing the author of a drawing; after numerous unsuccessful google searches, I posted the solution, which is very easy, to this thread to help anyone else that comes across this issue.
You can also add Custom Properties from that same Dialog and call these into the Titleblock or other boiler plate text strings using Fields in AutoCAD.
