Suggestions (you have some of these, but repeating for emphasis):

 

- Include avatar specifications (max resolution, etc) on the upload page.

- Provide a "None" option in the avatar selection page..

- Provide a turn off avatars display option (as for signatures).

they had it but ditched it in favor of this forum software.

I'll write one and call it ClassicForum, after which Autodesk will release an inferior version and call it ForumClassic. Mac users won't get either of them.
